Dr. Petruzzo brings over 25 years of clinical excellence and leadership to Singular Anesthesia Services, where he has served as Staff Anesthesiologist since 2019. His extensive experience spans academic medicine, multi-hospital systems, and specialized anesthesia care across the Hudson Valley region.

Currently serving as an Attending Physician at both Dutchess & Hudson Valley Regions and New York Presbyterian/Westchester Hospital, Dr. Petruzzo has built a distinguished career rooted in comprehensive surgical and anesthesia training. He earned his Medical Degree from New York Medical College in 1992, followed by surgical residency at New Rochelle Hospital and anesthesiology residency at NYMC/Westchester Medical Center. He was Chief resident in the department of Anesthesia at NYMC for the years 1997-1998.
From 1998 to 2006, Dr. Petruzzo served as Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at New York Medical College while simultaneously holding attending positions at Westchester Medical Center. He was the Director of medical student education in the department of Anesthesia at NYMC from 2001-2006. He also held a position on the liver transplant and cardiothoracic anesthesia teams while at NYMC. These dual roles in academic medicine and clinical practice reflects his commitment to both patient care excellence and the advancement of anesthesia education. From 2008-2018, Dr. Petruzzo was Chairman of the department of Anesthesiology at Hudson Valley Hospital.
Dr. Petruzzo holds current licensure with the New York State Medical Board and maintains board certification through both the American Board of Anesthesiology and the National Board of Medical Examiners. His educational foundation includes a Bachelor of Science in Biology from SUNY Oneonta and medical studies at St. Georges University School of Medicine.
With his deep regional knowledge, academic background, and decades of clinical leadership, Dr. Petruzzo continues to advance the highest standards of anesthesia care and patient safety.
