Dr. Schachner brings over 30 years of distinguished anesthesia practice to Singular Anesthesia Services, where she has served as Attending Anesthesiologist at New York Presbyterian Westchester Hospital Center since 1998. Her extensive career spans premier academic medical centers and reflects a commitment to clinical excellence and patient safety.

 

A graduate of Barnard College with a B.A. in Biopsychology, Dr. Schachner demonstrated early academic distinction as a Merck Research Fellow and New York State Regents Scholar. She earned her Medical Degree from New York Medical College in 1989, where she received the Pathology Award for academic achievement.

 

Dr. Schachner completed her medical internship at Beth Israel Medical Center and her anesthesiology residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Prior to joining NYP Westchester Hospital Center, she served as an Attending Anesthesiologist at NYU Medical Center from 1993 to 1998, establishing her expertise in complex perioperative care.

 

Board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology since 1994, Dr. Schachner maintains active medical licensure in New York State. Her contributions to medical literature include peer-reviewed publications in dermatology and anesthesiology, demonstrating her commitment to advancing medical knowledge and best practices.

 

With her deep clinical experience, academic foundation, and quarter-century tenure at New York Presbyterian Westchester Hospital Center, Dr. Schachner continues to provide exceptional anesthesia care while mentoring the next generation of medical professionals.
