Dr. Naixi Li 
President and Director of Anesthesiology

Dr. Naixi Li serves as President of Singular Anesthesia Services and Director of the Department of Anesthesiology at NYP Lawrence Hospital Center, bringing over two decades of distinguished leadership in anesthesiology and academic medicine. His unique combination of clinical excellence, research expertise, and organizational leadership has positioned him as a prominent figure in the field.

Dr. Li earned his Medical Degree from Beijing Medical University and subsequently pursued advanced graduate studies at New York Medical College, where he obtained both Master's and Doctoral degrees in Cell Biology & Anatomy. This strong scientific foundation has informed his approach to evidence-based anesthesia practice throughout his career.

Following his anesthesiology residency and chief residency at Albert Einstein Medical College, Dr. Li progressed through academic ranks from Instructor to Assistant Professor while simultaneously advancing clinically at NYP Lawrence Hospital Center from Provisional Assistant Attending to his current role as Director. His exceptional performance has been recognized with multiple awards, including the Robert D. Dripps Memorial Award for Outstanding Graduate Resident and the Excellent Teaching Performance Award.

 

Board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology with additional certification in Pediatric Anesthesia, Dr. Li has demonstrated leadership beyond clinical practice. He served as Director of the New York State Society of Anesthesiologists District 3, President of the Chinese American Society of Anesthesiology, and Board Director of the Association of Chinese American Physicians.

Dr. Li's contributions to medical literature include peer-reviewed publications in anesthesiology and biochemistry, reflecting his commitment to advancing both clinical practice and scientific understanding. His research background in proteasome regulation and continued focus on difficult airway management exemplify his dedication to improving patient safety and outcomes through innovation and education.
